Hi, I’m Annie Gartner.
I didn’t start this blog because I had a big budget or a design degree. I started it because I had a tiny apartment, zero money left after rent, and a desperate need for my home to feel like mine.
That was twelve years ago. Since then, I’ve moved four times, decorated on everything from a $50 Goodwill run to a proper renovation budget, and made every possible mistake in between — the accent wall that had to be repainted twice, the sofa I assembled backwards, the rug that was definitely too small.
What I figured out, slowly and expensively, is that a cozy home isn’t about how much you spend. It’s about understanding a few core principles — scale, texture, layering, light — and knowing which shortcuts actually work and which ones waste your time and money.
Cozy Nest Finds is where I share everything I’ve learned. Real ideas I’ve tried in real spaces. Products I’ve actually used (with Amazon links so you can find them fast). Honest opinions on what’s worth it and what isn’t.
I’m not an interior designer. I’m someone who has spent twelve years obsessing over home decor, making mistakes so you don’t have to, and genuinely loving the process of making a space feel warm and intentional — even on a tight budget.
If you’re decorating a first apartment, refreshing a room that’s felt wrong for years, or just trying to figure out why your space doesn’t feel cozy yet — you’re in the right place.
Feel free to look around. Try something. Make it your own.
